The following content is displayed on the same screen for your experiment so that you can make any necessary reference in experiment. Start your experiment now!

1. Login(Duration: 2 mins)
   Click Login to log into the management interface of IBM Spectrum Discover
   
2. View the metadata collection(Duration: 4 mins)
   By viewing the metadata set collected automatically in the dashboard, you can see the metadata from different data sources (project1/project2/project3), and you can see that the files are uploaded to the buckets corresponding to IBM Cloud Object Storage and their metadata are sent to IBM Spectrum Discover. Here you can view the total quantity of metadata and the sorting results by different dimensions
   
3. Search(Duration: 3 mins)
   You can use the Search menu at the left-hand navigation bar to search for the specific results you want in the total metadata collection, where you can use the exact match search function; for example, enter filename='44.jpg'
   
4. Compound search(Duration: 3 mins)
   For example, enter filename='44.jpg' and datasource='project3'
   
5. Fuzzy search(Duration: 3 mins)
   For example, enter filename like 'file15%'
   
6. Generate a report(Duration: 5 mins)
   You can generate a report from the search results by checking the metadata to be included in the report and clicking Generate Report
   
   Enter the name of report, e.g. file15, and then click the Submit button
   
   Click the Confirm button after it is prompted that the report is created successfully
   
   Click the Report menu on the left-hand navigation bar, and you will see the report just created
   
   You can download and open the report by clicking the button at the right. It is recommended to use IE Explorer to open the report. After that, you can view the content of the report in detail.
7. Create a metadata tag(Duration: 5 mins)
   You can further enrich existing metadata information by adding new tags for files automatically. First, click the Metadata menu at the left-hand navigation bar, and click the Tags sub-menu, and you will see the current default tags. Click Add to add a new tag
   
   Enter the name of the tag, e.g. location, and select "Open" as the tag type, then click Submit
   
   After the tag is created successfully, you will see the new tag named as "location"
   
8. Create a tag policy(Duration: 6 mins)
   Select the Policies sub-tag at the top, and click Add Policy to create an automatic tag policy
   
   Check the switch at the upper left corner to "Active" to activate the policy
   Enter the policy name, e.g. location, and select "AUTOTAG" as the policy type and "filename like 'file1%'" as the filter conditions to filter out the files starting with file1
   Select the entitled tag "location" and its value, e.g. beijing
   Set the Schedule as "Now" and then click Submit Policy
   
   Execute the policy immediately after it is created, and the results will be shown as follows:
   
9. Search based on the tag policy(Duration: 4 mins)
   At the point, back to the Search menu at the left-hand navigation bar and search the files meeting the condition location='beijing', and you will see that all the files starting with file1 are listed
